Winter Wonderland

Grammy and Grandpa Stro had us over for a day of fun in the snow.  Half of our foursome sat out for a nap, but Kyler and Mommy had lots of fun with the Grands!

Kyler loved riding the snowmobile and taking his new helmet for a test ride.

The sledding hill was lots of fun to go down...
and lots of work to go up!

Who needs a horse-drawn sleigh when you have Uncle Brett and Grandpa Stro around!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

What isn't there to love about Christmas?

Kyler is already counting down till next year!

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

This is a special message especially for all of our friends and family we wont get to celebrate with this holiday season and for those who made the effort to go to Kyler's school and church programs and got to watch other people's kiddos instead...

We hope you have a blessed and happy holiday as we celebrate our Savior's birth!

(Heidi-did you notice the lion throne Kyler was adamant about dragging out of his room before he would perform?! He loves that thing!)

Family Photos

We had Tracy Myers stop over to our house not long ago to take a few pictures of the kids and our family in honor of Taylor's 1-year milestone.  I am a bit prejudice, but I think they turned out beautifully.

These are just a few of my favorites.
I could go on and on...

The Gingerbread Train

Our Little Shelf Elf friend, Christopher Popinkins brought the kids a treat for being on the nice list (most of the time).  So, Kyler and I assembled the gingerbread train kit from Christopher and Kyler's favorite part was clearly taste testing the candy decorations.

As you can see Taylor was quite interested in the sweet, colorful train too!

Baby Rockstar

I can say with all honesty that Taylor was in no way named after the famous Miss Swift, but we think she might have some of her creative talent:) Kyler and I turned on some tunes and our little artist crawled at full speed toward the toy basket, grabbed the microphone and this is what followed...

The Many Aliases of K-man

You gotta love the after Halloween sales for costumes... Especially when you've got a kid that loves to play dress-up.

Captain America

Wolverine

Iron Man

He's got a one man marvel comic show coming to Broadway soon:)

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a Par-Tay-Tay!

We had Taylor's 1st birthday party a little early for a number of reasons.  But it worked out great and she still seemed to enjoy the attention and birthday cake!

She didn't love mommy's first outfit choice...

Loved the cake, hated the hat!

Happy Halloween

The holiday wish might be a little late, but Kyler and Taylor had a happy one!  It was a normal day for the K-man in his uniform, but the candy was a bonus!  Taylor almost seemed comfortable in her cozy little monster?/love bug? costume.  Typically shoes and hats are ripped from her body with zest.  She rode in the wagon like a champ watching all the characters around her run from house to house yelling "trick or treak!"  I think she was taking notes for next year...

Hail to the Victors!

One of the highlights of our day at The Big House...

Trip to the Big House

Kyler got to go to his first U of M game (or Go Blue! as he likes to call them).  It was a cold day and tailgateing with just mom and dad wasn't all it was cracked up to be after 5 minutes.

But the band and stadium were quiet impressive!

And we found cousins!!!

There was even some tackle football off the field with some nearby tailgaters!

Bye, Bye Mullet

It's hard to admit, but Taylor Ann has been sporting a mullet for a while since her hair started growing in. Right behind her ears seems to be a hot spot for long locks, and the only spot. Her hair is still quite sparse and fine, so I really didn't want to have to cut a single strand off. But we finally had to do something about it when tucking it behind her ears no longer hid the issue. It was a family effort as Kyler took the pics while daddy held down the little lady and mommy chop-chopped the 80's do, adieu!

It's Pumpkin Pickin' Time

We made our annual trip to Heritage Farm to pick pumpkins and enjoy the autumn season. It is amazing that just 2 short years ago we made our first trip out there when Kyler was one. He was hitting the pumpkin around the 2 foot mark and now he's well past 3 with a sister at his side!

Off to pick pumpkins

Harvest Weekend

Welcome Fall!
We spent the weekend end enjoying all things from the autumn season. Thursday night was the Harvest Festival Parade. We meet daddy at his office and had a Subway picnic in the conference room. Taylor looks good in that chair... maybe she will be the next DeKuiper in the insurance line? I forgot to bust out the camera for the parade, but we enjoyed it through our children's eyes! Taylor was clapping and waving at the people and animals. One of Kyler's little friends from school ended up next to us and they caught candy and laughed at the floats together... too cute!

Next up was the Farmer's Market for some seasonal goodies and even a free apple and painted pumpkin for Kyler (he couldn't believe it was free!) We stopped by to see the antique tractors in the park before we headed home for football, of course. Too bad Blue couldn't pull it out:( But we enjoyed tailgating in front of the t.v. anyway.

Kyler next to a "Don Jeer" as he affectionately calls the tractor brand.

Post game we made a trip to Nelson's Farm Market for some apple cider and to view the giant pumpkins.
I love the fall!

Free Fallin'

I also got to go skydiving for my birthday. Kyler was going to hold my ankles and go with me. I'm not sure if he was still feeling it immediately after I arrived back to earth via parachute, but after watching the video a couple times, he is ready to sign up!

Just a speck in the sky.

Safely back on the ground.
