Pants-Free Sunday

This morning I had Taylor dressed in an adorable little outfit for church, but took off the skirt for her morning nap. I had to leave early so daddy was in charge getting the little lady to church once she woke up. This is what I saw when the two arrived...

The funny thing is he thought about putting the skirt on her and then decided I would have it on her already if that is what I wanted. This is strike two for Jason in the dressing Taylor for church department. Earlier this year Taylor arrived to church with her shirt on backwards thanks to daddy.

The outfit is much cuter with the skirt!

Michigan Man

Kyler and Daddy took a road trip to Lansing Tuesday night to watch Uncle Ry's basketball team in the state quarterfinals and hang out with the cousins. The guys played a great game with a tough loss. Kyler was busy wrestling with Michael most of the game, but took a time-out to pose for a picture with Coach Beilein!
Our little boy standing with basketball genius (Beilein finally got Michigan to the Dance and Sean, the tall guy in the back, is Kyler's idol. Anytime Kyler plays ball he will say, "I'm Sean!" and will only answer to that name.)

Brotherly (and Sisterly) Love

It is amazing to see these two kiddos together. I still can't get over that they are mine:) It seems that they can't get over each other either. Kyler is such a helpful and dotting big brother and Taylor just stares at him like he is the most amazing creature on earth. It is so sweet to see Tay show off her dimples at Kyler and then he always exclaims, "she smiled at me!" like he just won a prize. Too sweet!!!
(side note: don't you just love Kyler's "cheese" face)

Bright-eyed and Bushy-tailed

Well, Taylor still isn't sleeping through the night, or even just waking up for feedings, but things are getting better. We are swaddling her again and it seems to help along with the paci combo and some occasional rocking. She actually took a nap this morning in her crib that was two hours long! I guess it is like they say... baby steps!

Sleeping Beauty

We are in the middle of "sleep training" Taylor, aka "crying it out". It is now the beginning of week 3 and we are still having good and bad nights and naps. Mommy and Taylor have logged a number of hours of crying over these last few weeks and I don't know if either of us can take much more. (Please pray for us!) But here is our little princess out like a light. I apologize for the sea-sick feeling the patterns seem to create. You think it might be a little busy with the polka dot lady bugs on her bed and her retro flower print shirt... oops! She is up after a good 20 minute nap. At lease she still wakes up with a smile!

Rock Band and Breakfast

Cousin Wyatt is over for the weekend and Kyler was more than excited because we get to have 24-hour fun with our special guest in the house. Last night it was off to the school carnival and dinner at McDonald's. This morning kicked off with a pancake breakfast and some serious rockin'! Isn't that how the real rock stars do it anyway... clothes they wore last night, crazy hair, and poor hygiene:)
