With a Bow On Top

I have been waiting for this day and it is finally here, sort of! I am now able to clip a few of Taylor's pretty little hairs into a clip. I may be pushing it just a bit, but it stays in unless she lays back.

OBX

Grandma and Grandpa Kuips celebrated their 40th anniversary this June and to celebrate the family headed out to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We left on the evening of 4th of July (expecting the kids to sleep through most of the ride) but made many memories on the road trip as well as the 7 days we spent down there. It was relaxing and action packed all at the same time. The house fortunately had many bedrooms and bathrooms and lots of space for everyone to run around. It was right on the Atlantic with a pool, but amazingly the kids seemed to enjoy the hot tub the most (though it was warm to hot the entire time we were there). There are so many great memories and pictures!!! Too many to include, but here are just a few...

Grandpa, Grandma and the 8 Grandkids
Dinner!

Note the centerpiece:)

What a pair!

SURPRISE!!! Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Thank you Mom and Dad! What a great time we had together!!!

Running Man

How impressionable are young minds! Kyler has caught the running bug after watching daddy literally run from home (for exercise!) So we signed him up for a couple kid fun runs. He insisted on having a cut-off shirt like daddy so I got the scissors out and now he has a running uniform for the events.
In training at the track.

First race ever... The 4th of July Panther Prowl
(I can't believe how proud I was watching my little man. His legs just kept going the whole 1/2 mile with a big smile on his face!)

Showing off his hardware (3rd place in the 4-year and under division)

The Myer Lake Pirate Kid Fun Run
(Aunt Rach's Vision)

His next scheduled race is this weekend at the NBFF:)

Busy Days!!!

July has been a whirlwind! We've been making lots of fun family memories, but I am finding it hard not to use any spare moment to do anything but rest up after so much action. I'm going to try to catch up on what our two little rascals have been up to.
